Designing a food court for the residents of Tehran in one of the important chain stores(Shahrvand) with its 24 hour feature is our subject, Raising the subject at the very first moments led us to the idea of creating a space with the atmosphere of social gathering place in an indoor environment which delivers the positive and familiar components of Tehran city in an abstracted way.

Thus the design formed in 3 different layers that are interior architecture, installation and decoration. These 3 layers include 3 types of quality and characteristics of Tehran the current urban elements, past characteristics that have faded or disappeared today and the urban qualities of Tehran which we need now and also the needs of tomorrow.

These include ever-alive city, public spaces for interactions, green space, avoidance of confusion and complexity, each capable of being categorized in the aforementioned categories and they find the visual outline in the space.

The overall layout of the space is very simple in a way that the middle of the hall for food court. The space offers the centerpiece of an iconic abstract tree which its leaves are a representative for complex urban network and it also provides light. Using brick as an iconic material in the space with the extension to the ceiling and creating a bench as well as different levels for spatial separation are including architectural arrangements intended to create a functional space and create a new sense for the audience and users.
